G Suite was renamed Workspace on October 6th, 2020, prices and scope were adjusted as well. Workspace is designed for use in the cloud from the beginning. Workspace apps e.g. Gmail, Docs, Sheets, etc. can easily be edited in the browser so that no software has to be installed. All functions of the workspace are also available for smartphones.
The strengths of Google Workspace lie in its 'simplicity' and slim structure. Administrators appreciate the simplicity and clarity of the Workspace Admin Console.

Workspace is offered in 4 price categories. Business tariffs apply to companies with up to 300 employees. All tariffs require your own domain. This domain has to be verified during workspace registration.
Business Starter price 5.20 EUR.
Includes: Gmail, Calendar, Drive for only 30 GB, Meet for 100 participants, Chat, Docs, Tables, Presentations, Forms, Sites, Notes, Currents, 2-step verification, Endpoint management fundamental version.
Business Standard for 10.40 EUR incl. Business Starter and additionally:
Drive 2 TB, Shared drives for your team, Meet with 150 participants, other functions for chat and video conferences such as recording, branding for document and form templates.
Business Plus for 15.60 EUR incl. Business Standard and additionally:
Drive 5 TB, Meet for 250 participants, with attendance reports, Vault - retain, archive, and search data, Endpoint management advanced version.
Enterprise incl. Business Plus and additionally:
Drive with unlimited storage space, protection against data loss (DLP), cloud identity, live streaming within the domain, noise suppression, premium support.

Workspace tariff decision
If you are a company with few employees and data, why not go with Business Starter? However, employees have to deal with only 30 GB of cloud storage.
If you need more storage for your users and teams, to record video conferences, you should decide for Business Standard.
However, if you need to keep data for a certain period of time (e.g. emails for 6 years), then choose Business Plus. This gives you 5 TB of cloud storage per user.
Companies with more than 300 employees have to buy Workspace Enterprise. You have many security settings under your control through security center. You can also specify the storage location for data e.g. determine Europe (practically EU).
You can also combine these workspace tariffs. That means some users could get Business and some get Enterprise.
