Microsoft Tenant Check – Availability, Creation, Tenant ID

If you don't have Microsoft 365 licenses yet, you'll first need a Microsoft tenant. Check here to see if the tenant name you want is available.

For an existing Tenant, you can look up the Tenant ID and obtain the corresponding links for SharePoint, Teams, and 'My Apps'.

Microsoft Tenant availability

Tenant Check - Guide

Enter at least 3 characters. Allowed are letters a-z and numbers 0-9.

Your request for availability of the tenant will be answered by the Microsoft login service (login.microsoftonline.com).

All results are without guarantee, as a tenant can be registered at any time and Microsoft can reject a tenant that violates the guidelines.

What is a Microsoft Tenant?

A tenant is a company account such as company.onmicrosoft.com, is used for the M365 environment and remains part of your company forever.
A tenant name should be carefully chosen, as it will be visible to your customers when you share documents via Teams, SharePoint or OneDrive.

A tenant such as firstaname@company.onmmicrosoft.com can also be used for login or email communication if you have not verified your domain in the M365 environment.
